Is ISpyNits safe for children?
Yes. ISpyNits was created by a mum, for families, and gentleness was the whole point. Our Glo-Powder is gentle and our lice lotion is insecticide-free and fragrance-free, so there are no harsh fumes or stinging. It's designed to be kind to little scalps. As with any product, do a small patch test first, keep it out of eyes, and chat to your pharmacist or doctor if your child has a scalp condition, allergies, or is under the recommended age.
How is this different from normal lice treatment?
Most lice products skip straight to treating — which means you're guessing at where the eggs are and whether they're really gone. ISpyNits adds the missing step: identification. The UV Glo-Powder makes hidden nits and eggs glow bright green so you can actually see them before, during and after treatment. You treat with confidence, catch outbreaks early, and know when you're truly clear.
Will the Glo-Powder wash out?
Yes — easily. The Glo-Powder is designed to brush and rinse out cleanly with normal shampooing. It doesn't stain hair or skin and leaves no residue once washed. Many families like to do a quick "glow check" first, then treat, then wash everything out together at the end.
What ages is it suitable for?
ISpyNits is suitable for the whole family, including most school-aged children, which is exactly when lice tend to spread. For babies, toddlers, pregnant or breastfeeding mums, or anyone with sensitive skin or a scalp condition, we always recommend a quick word with your pharmacist or GP first. Full age guidance is printed on every pack.
How fast is shipping? Do you ship to Australia?
Orders placed before 1pm NZT on a business day are usually dispatched the same day. Within New Zealand, standard delivery typically takes 1–3 working days, with an urgent courier option at checkout. Yes — we ship to Australia too (usually 3–7 working days), and you'll also find ISpyNits in pharmacies across both countries and on Amazon Australia.
What's your returns policy?
If something isn't right, we want to make it right. Unopened products can be returned within 30 days for a refund or exchange. If your order arrives faulty or damaged, email
hello@ispynits.com with your order number and a photo and we'll sort it straight away. For hygiene reasons we can't accept opened treatment products unless they're faulty. Your statutory consumer rights always apply.
Can I buy it in a pharmacy?
Absolutely — ISpyNits is stocked in pharmacies across New Zealand and Australia. Use our

How often should we check for lice?
A quick glow-check once a week is a great habit during the school term, and especially worth doing whenever a note comes home about lice at school or daycare. Early detection is everything — spotting eggs before they hatch means a smaller problem, faster treatment, and far less chance of it spreading around the household.
